Corrections & Editorial Standards

Accuracy includes explaining what changed and why.

Request a correction

Identify the article, the statement you believe is wrong, why it is inaccurate, and any evidence that would help the newsroom check it. An editorial disagreement is welcome, but does not necessarily establish a factual error.

Send a correction request →

How requests should be handled

The newsroom should assess evidence, consult the reporter and relevant sources, and explain significant factual corrections visibly on the article with the correction date. Requests do not automatically alter coverage. Private identifying information should not be published without an appropriate basis.

Independence and disclosures

Reporting, analysis, opinion, sponsored material, and editorial previews should be labeled. Relevant relationships with The Moore Center for Justice, advertisers, and other partners should be disclosed. Partners and advertisers do not control editorial findings.

Requests for privacy removal or copyright review follow their own processes and are not automatically treated as factual corrections.
