THE SOUTHERN SENTINEL / READER TRUST
Copyright & DMCA
Respect for original work and a clear route for reporting copyright concerns.
Publisher and copyright administration
The Southern Sentinel Post is a publication operated by Moorehouse Media Network, LLC. Moorehouse Media Network, LLC administers copyright complaints concerning this website under this Copyright & DMCA Policy.
Planned copyright-notice email: legalnotices@moorehousemedianetwork.com — pending activation and monitoring confirmation. It is not yet listed as an active notice channel. Until confirmed, use the private copyright submission form.
Rights and credits
Original publication material, reader contributions, licensed assets, and embedded third-party media may have different rights holders. Credits and a public link do not themselves grant reuse permission. Do not upload or advertise with material you lack permission to use. Fair use and other legal exceptions remain available where applicable.
Report a copyright concern
Use the private form below to identify the copyrighted work, the exact location of the disputed material, your contact details, and your relationship to the rights holder. Do not post a complaint as a public comment.
Send a copyright concern →Formal DMCA notices
A formal notice generally requires a physical or electronic signature; identification of the copyrighted work; identification and location of the allegedly infringing material; sufficient contact information; a good-faith statement that the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or law; and a statement that the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that the sender is authorized to act for the rights holder.
Designated-agent status: Moorehouse Media Network, LLC has been identified as the service provider. Its designated agent, public agent mailing address and telephone number, and Copyright Office registration have not yet been confirmed. The planned email above must be activated and monitored before it is used as a legal-notice address. This page and its general complaint form do not by themselves establish a DMCA agent registration or safe-harbor eligibility. Once designation is completed, the verified agent details will be published here.
Review, counter-notices, and repeated infringement
Copyright complaints will be reviewed and documented. The publication’s process calls for expeditious removal or disabled access when required, including action on actual knowledge or apparent infringement, and reasonable steps to notify the uploader. A complaint alone is not a final determination of infringement. Moorehouse Media Network, LLC will terminate accounts of users who are repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. Reports, withdrawals, valid counter-notices, and other relevant facts will be assessed; there is no automatic three-strike formula. Paying advertisers and business partners are subject to the same policy. Account decisions may be submitted for review through the private request form. Staff must also reasonably implement the adopted policy and accommodate applicable standard technical measures.
Where the statutory DMCA process applies, a valid counter-notice has additional requirements, including the subscriber’s signature, identification of removed material and its former location, a statement under penalty of perjury about mistake or misidentification, and required contact, jurisdiction, and service-of-process statements. Information may be forwarded to the opposing party. Applicable restoration timing is generally 10–14 business days after a valid counter-notice unless the necessary court-action notice is received. Staff should obtain legal guidance before handling formal notices or counter-notices.
Do not file a knowingly false infringement claim. For the authoritative process, see the U.S. Copyright Office Section 512 resources.
